The Dream Catcher
Housing Initiative
Building dreams, together.
Homeownership is transformative. The Dream Catcher Housing Initiative (“DCHI”) is leveraging it to empower tribal members, strengthen our community, and shape brighter horizons with and for generations of Menominee families to come.
The Pine Meadows Project
DCHI envisions a world wherein homeownership is within reach for every Menominee family. Studies have shown that homeownership stabilizes neighborhoods and households while improving economic and social outcomes for entire generations.
The right opportunities for homeownership on Menominee lands will help circulate dollars in the local economy, develop our workforce, and enable Menominee citizens to work, play, and live right here at home.
To that end, construction is officially underway at Pine Meadows in Keshena, WI—the first multi-home new-construction tribal housing project on the Menominee Reservation in more than 25 years. The new homes are expected to be available for purchase in late 2025 and move-in ready by early 2026.

Glad you asked! If you’ve been approved for a mortgage, have your mortgage approval letter on hand, and have confirmed with the MITW Land Management Department that you are eligible for a residential lease, you’ll need to complete the following two steps as soon as possible. Note that lenders’ mortgage approval letters are good for anywhere between 30 (minimum) and 90 (maximum) days, so you’ll need to ensure your approval letter is still valid.
